Affiliate Marketing Programs

So if you read my first blog post you know that I'm all about trying to figure out what works online and what doesn't.
So what's wrong with affiliate programs? Nothing really if you pick a good one you just need to know what to look out for. I'm not going to name any one program in particular, I don't want to get sued here.
Affiliate programs are a great way for an average person to get started in Internet marketing. All the hard works been done for you already. Well not all the hard work, but the owners of the company or program have developed a product line, a way for you to promote the product, a compensation plan and in a good online company (or offline for that matter) they have even developed a training program so that you can learn how to use the tools they've provided for you. All in all it's a lot easier to start with an affiliate program than it is to try and find and market a product on your own.
So what should you consider when looking for an affiliate program? Lets start with the obvious stuff. How about the cost. Is there a monthly fee or a lifetime fee? What is the product? Is it marketable? How solid is the company? Is the compensation plan a good one, in other words can you make money with it? Does the company provide the training, the support and the tools you'll need to be an online success?
These are all things that you should consider. Oh there's likely even more but this is a good start. Just be careful and do your homework. We want to make sure this thing works for you.

What's Wrong With Internet Marketing?

Believe me when I say that I'm not writing this blog because I'm trying to discourage you from trying Internet marketing or a work at home business, because I'm not.

There are lots of ways to earn a living working from home and on the Internet. I'm willing to bet that if you're here reading this you have already been working online but you aren't having a ton of success. Then again maybe you have built a good online business and if you have good for you, there may still be something worth reading here for you too.

I don't claim to be an expert marketer as a matter of fact I'm far from it. I've been in lots of business opportunities and Internet marketing programs that haven't gone well for me. Either through dumb luck or perseverance I've stuck with it and now I'm happy to say that I've experienced success. It's about time too!

What I'm hoping to do with these blog posts is help you avoid some of the pitfalls of working on the Internet so that you can have success without dumping tons of money and time into programs that just don't work. These blogs are just my own opinion from my own experience.
